Rapture Letters

A Dilemma for us all . . .
"After the rapture, there will be a lot of speculation as to why millions of people have
just disappeared. Unfortunately, after the rapture, only non believers will be left to come up with answers. You probably have family and friends that you have witnessed to and they just won’t listen. After the rapture they probably will, but who will tell them?" (excerpted from Rapture Letters)Concerned?? As you should be . . .
To address the concern as to who will inform your loved ones about your sudden disappearance come the rapture, www.raptureletters.com has created form letters you can have sent to your loved ones. The letter begins like this:
"Dear Friend;
This message has been sent to you by a friend or a relative who has recently disappeared along with millions and millions of people around the world.
The reason they chose to send you this letter is because they cared about you and would like you to know the truth about where they went.
This may come as a shock to you, but the one who sent you this has been taken up to heaven . . ."
It will be sent after the rapture occurs, though you may be wondering along with me, who will know to send it; rest assured, they have it all figured out. It’s a miracle of technology. You might also wonder if there is a fail safe in case you don’t actually get lifted up; I mean, it would be embarassing for your friends to get an e-mail saying you’ve been taken into heaven when you’re sitting right next to them. But to that concern I say, posh, you should KNOW you will be saved/lifted up. And if you are concerned, well, perhaps that should tell you something . . .
At any rate, I thought you should know. You’ll probably want to sign up all your friends and family because you just never know who will be left behind, afraid, alone, and completely out of luck. Best of luck to you in the times to come.

Here’s my question about the letters: if I understand, it’s a “dead man” switch — when it isn’t reset, then obviously the person has been raptured and so the letters go out. What if that person decides to sleep in or is in an accident on the way to work and can’t reset the switch? Just wondering….

This is the greatest thing ever! Finally, I will have a way to let my heathen friends and family know that I have “crossed over” when that blessed event comes. Thank you for passing this along. I just feel sorry for my dad…

I saw this site several months ago and had the same questions as Julie. I’m sure they thought through it.
I came from a denominational background that talks constantly about the rapture, the tribulation, antichrist, etc. To this day, I can’t have a “sensable,” down-to-earth conversation about Christianity and our need to get involved - as Bono so elequently put it at the National Prayer Breakfast - “in what God is doing because it’s already blessed” with my also-a-preacher dad without him turning the whole thing around to the antichrist, last days, fire-and-brimstone. Kinda frustrating.
