ow :(

i think i burned the back of my throat. ow. this is way worse than a sore throat. i cannot even begin to convey to you the agonizing pain i am suffering right now. unbelievable - it’s a miracle i can see straight enough to type. i am a survivor.
i might have done it to myself. it’s possible i was eating lunch and didn’t cut the piece of meat i was eating and it got stuck in the back of my throat and i couldn’t get it up and i had to swallow it whole and it was too hot because i wasn’t patient and this whole description is threatening to make it come back up the other way and i don’t think that would help - acid on a burn . . .
ow.
i just googled ‘burned throat’ and found this. crap.
"Bad news first (not THAT bad): Burns in the mouth and throat CAN be
serious, mostly because they can swell quite a bit and block your
airway. The good news is that they heal very well and leave little
lasting damage. Bad news again: They hurt! Good news: It should be
feeling better after 7 to 10 days. and should be completely healed
after 2 weeks assuming that the burn wasn’t involving underlying
tissues."

Can you swallow some crushed ice (assuming you can swallow) to take down the swelling? OUCH!

SOunds like what happened to me when my iguana, Lord ALfred Tenison tried to give me mouth to mouth but got stuck and had to be removed with a pair of plyers, and he held on to the thing in the back of my throat for a week. I eventually let him live there and learned to breathe through my ears…I guess I’m just saying hang in there and enjoy it while you can!
Peace
